Bringing the Heat with Fuego Dogs

It wouldn’t be Summer without good old-fashioned BBQ’ing burgers and hot dogs! Even though we think the entire season should be dedicated to grilling up hot dogs, National Hot Dog Day is on July 14th! When getting ready to celebrate – why have another same-old-same-old summertime hot dog recipe? Especially on the hot dog’s special day! Make thisNational Hot Dog Day one your taste buds will be sure to remember. We came up with a tasty, and Fuego, hot dog recipe that will blow the rest of your summer away!

Ingredients:

  • 8 hot dogs and buns
  • 8 slices of cheese
  • Your favorite salsa
  • 3-4 jalepeños, sliced

Instructions:

1. Heat up your Fuego Grill to medium-high heat and place your hot dogs directly on the grate.

2. Cook hot dogs as the package directs. As they are cooking, place slices of cheese on the inside of the buns.

3. Once the hot dogs are grilled, place them in the buns and put the buns onto the grill. Keep on the grill for about 2 minutes or until the cheese is melted.

4. Remove from grill and spoon salsa onto the dog. Lightly place 3 (or more) jalepeño slices on top of the salsa. Enjoy!
