Steaks can be tricky when it comes to cooking them to perfection. The right amount of amount of tenderness and juiciness. A steak that cuts like butter is usually one that is extremely flavorful. We have some step-to-step tips and tricks to help you grill the perfect steak. Trust us, you’ll never have a dry burnt piece of meat ever again. Scroll through to find our guide of grilling to precision.
.) Make sure you have all the right utensils. From tongs, to foil, trays, and towel rags.
.) Pick your seasoning. If you have a really great cut of meat of something really tender like a fillet or rib eye, one of our favorites to use is Salt by the Sea or sometimes we just simply go with salt and pepper. There’s no wrong turns there.
.) Fire up the grill! The best temperature to set your grill is at a medium low temperature to start. That’s about 350 degrees Fahrenheit to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Be sure you let the grill pre-heat and always keep on eye on the grill’s thermometer if it has one.
.) Prepare the steaks. Get the timer ready. If it’s a thicker steak a good time to cook them is about 7-9 minutes on each side. If it’s a smaller and thinner steak, 5-7 minutes on each side might be more ideal.
.) Put the steaks on the grill. Because the grill is extremely hot, the steaks will sizzle a bit as you put them on. Don’t let that freak you out. Cook your steak according to step 3.
.) If you’re unsure whether or not your steak is done: touch it or press down on it. If it’s harder in the middle then it’s pretty well don’t. But if it’s a little more on the soft side then the middle is probably just about ready, more than likely at medium rare state.
