    needed just a bit more

    Have a Professional model than became pretty thoroughly rusted out after just over three years (just outside of warranty). Called customer service to discuss and wound up buying new reflector, dual burner and heat diffuser panel. Received the parts, went to install, and noticed that screws holding in the original burner were rusted to the point of non-removal. Called and was told that was common and that I needed to order the screw package and special drill bit to drill out the frozen/rusted screws. It was only $5, so no big deal, and shame on me for not trying to remove the original burner before ordering replacement parts, but if it is common for all the screws to rust by the time you need to replace the burner, it would make a lot of sense to either include that with the burner purchase, or at least recommend the separate purchase of the $5 parts package at the time I order the replacement. Hope it arrives before 4th of July!

    Breathed New Life Into My Fuego Professional F24C!

    I've owned my Fuego Professional F24C for about five years now. Over time, the Diffuser Panel (Drip Shield) rusted and deteriorated due to being left outside uncovered. Instead of replacing it right away (as I probably should have), I kept using the grill as usual. Eventually, grease buildup clogged some of the holes in the Dual Ring Burner and diminished its performance.

    Recently, I decided to breathe new life into the grill by ordering a replacement Dual Ring Burner and Diffuser Panel. After reading another review, I wisely chose to also purchase the Burner Drill Bit & Screws set. That made the whole process MUCH easier. The drill bit handled the original rusted-in screws effortlessly—what would’ve been a frustrating job took just five minutes to remove the old burner and install the new one along with the upgraded Diffuser Panel.

    Speaking of which—side note—the new Diffuser Panel is now enameled, which is a fantastic improvement. I definitely recommend getting that version!

    I’ve cooked on my refreshed F24C several times since the upgrades, and it feels just like new again. Highly recommend!
