I’m just getting to know my new grill but I love it. The food has been wonderful and cleanup is easy. The small footprint but large cook surface is a huge improvement over my old weber gas grill.
I love it!
Works great. Looks great. Great.
Grill arrived early, and well packaged. Instructions were decent on the technical writing side of things but the corresponding illustrations were not up to par.
Grill fired right up, as it should. However, the high temp is over 100 degrees lower than advertised. Maybe a bad gauge...quite a few reviews mention poor quality of temp gauge...control knob is nice, solid. Esthetics are a big plus, but again, the grill just doesn’t heat up well, or at least as well as adverts state. This is also born out in the cooking process so I suppose the gauge isn’t completely to blame.
Grill lid is too thin, with far too many vent holes. Should have used a higher gauge steel for molding this lid. Offset handle is more of a gimmick than a truly functional improvement, and because of the offset handle the cover doesn’t fit well. Speaking of the grill’s cover, it is El Cheapo. Very flimsy/thin material. My Traeger cover must be three times the material thickness at essentially the same price point.
Last, the flat top I bought with the grill is waaaaay overpriced at $100.
I’d recommend this grill to others, but only with caveats mentioned above.
The traditional grill grate is awesome but the enamel coated cast iron grill takes the Fuego grill to another level. Want to make some restaurant quality burgers or don’t want to stink up the house then this is the accessory to get.
